The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh reported to the Department of Foreign Affairs that the Embassy team won first place in the 2011 Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Bowling Tournament held last October 2 in Al- Khozama Lanes.
The Singaporean Embassy organized the tournament as part of the annual sports and social activities among ASEAN embassies in Riyadh.
The tournament started with the ceremonial toss by ASEAN heads of missions in Riyadh.
There are eight out of 10 ASEAN members with resident embassies in Riyadh, including the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
